Whitening Toothpastes
All whitening toothpastes assist in removing surface stains by abrasively scrubbing the teeth. Keep an eye out for the ADA Seal for safe whitening toothpastes that have special chemical and/or polishing agents designed specifically for their stain removal properties. Unlike bleaches, these ADA-accepted products only remove superficial stains and not the internal stain on your teeth.
At-Home Whitening
Peroxide-containing whiteners, contrary to popular opinion, actually end up bleaching the tooth enamel. They generally come in a gel and are placed in a tray that easily fits on your teeth.
You need to wear the tray consistently throughout the day for several weeks to be able to see the result. You can also employ a whitening strip that adheres to the surface of your teeth. The concentration of the bleaching agent is far less than what your dentist would use in the office so that’s another reason why you will not see the result right away.
Korr Whitening
The best whitening system that you actually see the result with MINUMUM or NO sensitivities.
In-Office Whitening
This 45-minute procedure is also called chair-side bleaching and generally requires just a single office visit. Dr. Khavari and her team will protect your gums by applying protective gel. Whitening material is then applied to the teeth. A unique light may be used in order to enhance the whitening agent. You will see the instant results.
